How to Whiten Sensitive Teeth at Home

Hi, friends! Hope you all have been amazing. I’ve been failing at my new years resolution of balancing life and blog posts… but there is still time to change that! As you all know I got engaged to the love of my life and we have done SO much in the past month. Seriously, we have it all booked pretty much.. I even said YES to the dress.  I can’t wait to share all the details with you guys soon. So, now all that is left is to get myself wedding ready. Thanks to Smile Brilliant partnering with me, I am going to a have a glowing smile on September 17th! You can enter to win your own Smile Brilliant kit in my giveaway here.

I have tried it all to keep my teeth white and it’s usually a never-ending battle. Between coffee every day (thank you Jesus for caffeine) and the occasional wine to unwind after a long day.. nothing seemed to help these stains. I have tried in-office whitening at dental offices and while it works, I have SUCH sensitive teeth that it was just unbearable.

After experimenting with so many different products, I am so thankful for Smile Brilliant’s professional whitening at home. It is as easy as 1-2-3. Smile Brilliant sends you everything you need. The kit includes paste that allows you to take your own impressions at home and then send them back to Smile Brilliant in a prepaid envelope, so that they can make your custom-fitted teeth whitening trays. The benefit to custom-fitted teeth whitening trays is that they allow the whitening gel to maintain contact with your teeth and bleach away the stains located in the crevices of the teeth as well as the gum lines and molars.

They immediately return your custom-fitted whitening trays to you in the mail. The only thing left to do is to use them. The kit includes whitening gel and desensitizing gel. I applied the whitening gel into the trays and wore them for 45 minutes to 2 hours. It really depended on the amount of free time I had. It is recommended to not eat or drink for at least 30 minutes after each session, so I found it best to whiten at night after dinner. After whitening, I applied the desensitizing gel and wore the trays for 30 minutes to 1 hour. I 100% recommend using the desensitizing gel no matter what your prior experiences are. It’s better to be safe than sorry in my opinion when it comes to dealing with sensitive teeth.

I used the whitening system 2-3 times a week. I am not joking when I say this stuff is amazing. My teeth are drastically whiter and I will continue to use Smile Brilliant for maintenance to keep them white. PLUS- Smile Brilliant’s whitening gel is vegan and cruelty free. Their website lists all of ingredients of the product you are using.

I hope this answers all of your teeth whitening prayers like it did mine. It is affordable, safe, and it works! What’s not to love? Don’t forget to enter the giveaway above for your chance to win! You can also use code LIFEISCIVIL15 for 15 dollars off your order.

Have the best week loves.
