Holiday Textures

Well friends, I’m not sure if it was an internet error or an user error (probably the latter) but my post got deleted after posting yesterday. So, let’s try this again!

With the stress of work and the holidays, we took our own advice and unplugged by taking a mini vacation to Nashville, TN. We frequent the Music City often because it’s only a three hour drive and I must say if you haven’t been add it to your bucket list right now. It’s always an amazing time. So much to do for all ages.

This time we checked out the Pancake Pantry for Sunday brunch. Y,all… I barely have words for it and I’m still full today. The sweet potato panackes with sweet cream syrup and the banana bread pancakes were to die for. The line around the corner was definitely worth the wait. Thanks to us being very indescive 24/7, by the time we walked around searching for somewhere less crowded and dodged in and out of boutiques to shop and get warm, the line had died down and was moving faster so we hopped in it. Best decision of the weekend. No doubt.

Before the temperature dropped to a chilly 25 degrees, I styled this edgy outfit for my boyfriend’s work Christmas dinner. I love playing with mixing different textures. Lace, suede, and velvet? Yes, please.

This is actually a midi dress. Since the dinner was more casual this year, I threw a skirt on over the dress for a different look. This velvet choker with the tiger detail from the Golden Hanger is my fav. I feel like a rocker chick wearing it. I also snagged these amazing Quay sunnies from there. I rate them above my rayban avaiators any day. (My bf thinks I have a problem, I can’t stop buying sunnies everywhere we go.) You can find the Golden Hangers Instagram here. Check them out! Great variety of clothing and accessories and at good prices.

What’s your holiday look? Don’t be afraid to play around with different textures and materials. Whatever makes you feel like the beautiful lady you truly are!

PS- How are there only 5 more sleeps till Christmas?! I have a few more presents to buy and still all of my wrapping, but I can’t wait!
